JP-324 is the lone habitable world in its solar system and one of just four in the Johann Pierson Sphere. It is situated in territory to galactic north of and nominally claimed by the Terran Republic of Planets, though the whole region remains largely undeveloped. The crystal sphere it resides in is fairly small, but contains a number of visually attractive anomalies and its portal relays are controlled by the Terran Republic of Planets. Its untamed state and relative safety make it a popular region for luxury travel and pilgrimages for Luna’s faithful in TRP space.
The planet itself was classified as being “near-habitable” until it was recently claimed and licensed to the biomedical firm Nanotrasgen in exchange for their coverage of terraforming expenses, which mostly involved wiping out several speices of toxic or hostile native species and resseding with more conventional ecosystems. Public information on JP-324 states that it is a safe, habitable, earth-like world with a minor company facility on-site. It politely yet firmly closed to the public.
